Frequently Asked Questions

How much Veil should I spray?

It depends on how (and how much) you’re indulging. We recommend that you spray liberally; 2-3 spritzes for each hit taken is a good place to start. In general, the more you spray, the more effective Veil will be. Veil’s fragrance doesn’t linger, so don’t worry about overdoing it.

I don't think it's working...

We typically recommend ~5-10 sprays in the air, but especially funky terpenes and/or intense sessions could require many more sprays to effectively eliminate the odor. Veil’s fragrance doesn’t linger beyond a few minutes at most, so you don’t need to worry about overdoing it.

If you’re still getting whiffs of terpenes after using Veil, then the spray didn’t reach all of the odorous molecules in the area. Always spray after your session, as the formula needs the odorous molecules to be in the air already to be effective against them. Spraying during is fine but unnecessarily tedious, and spraying before will have zero effect.

Can I spray Veil on fabric?

Absolutely! Our spray is non-toxic, eco-friendly, colorless and fragranced exclusively with essential oils. It shouldn’t stain or harm your fabric in any way — just make it smell better.

Does Veil work on other odors beyond cannabis smoke?

For sure. Our formula was specifically formulated to eliminate cannabis smoke odor, but it’s been proven to work on a wide array of malodors (funk).

How does Veil actually work?

Veil utilizes a unique cationic surfactant that neutralizes the odor released when burning cannabis terpenes (colloquially: smoking weed). It does this by complexing specific molecules and reducing their concentration. In layman's terms: Veil alters the molecules so much that you can no longer smell them.

Do you sell Veil wholesale?

Of course! Shoot us an email at wholesale@smellveil.com and we’ll get back to you with wholesale details ASAP.

Is Veil safe?

Veil is non-toxic, but it can cause serious eye irritation or an upset stomach if used improperly. If you swallow some Veil, drink plenty of water to dilute. If you get it in your eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Then, immediately call a Poison Center or your doctor. In the United States, Poison Control can be reached at 1-800-222-1222.
